Recently, a number of international shipping companies have released their January 2025 tariff adjustment plans one after another. It mainly involves important routes such as Mediterranean Sea, Philippines, Africa, Middle East and U.S. routes.
Specific adjustments include: Far East to Mediterranean routes, North and East China to the Philippines routes, Asia to Africa routes, and Far East to U.S. East Coast routes. The new rates will be implemented from mid to late December 2024 to early January 2025 for each route.

It is worth noting that the Shanghai Export Containerized Freight Index (SCFI) has recently risen continuously, and the latest data shows that it has reached 2256.46 points, a weekly increase of 1.01%. The international shipping market is showing a clear upward trend.
In addition, due to the implementation of the new reservation system of the Panama Canal and labor issues in ports, freight rates of the trans-Pacific route are expected to rise in the near future. Import and export enterprises are advised to plan cargo transportation in advance and rationalize shipment schedules.
